It’s over. After 8.5+ years I switched to a new iPhone.

It started as a challenge to gauge how long I could keep going with the same old, outdated device. The answer is quite a while, but for the last few years, I have been giving up using more and more apps (which for me is not a bad thing after all, there are very few cases where I need something on the go and cannot wait to get home and reach for the Mac or iPad). And, of course, any security update that comes with newer iOS versions. But after even Signal will bail on me this week, I think it’s time to move on.

So long 2014 iPhone 6, I salute you.
